NIH Funding of the prototype development of Express Access, a new national infrastructure to speed behavioral health patients to high quality behavioral healthcare, was successful. Review of Phase 2 application achieved one of the best scores in NIH history and will involve a partnership with Grow Therapy and the American Academy of Family Physicians to customize Express Access for PCP practices and then test the infrastructure in a step-wedge controlled trial. Expected results include dramatically improved clinical outcomes, reduced wait times, and higher satisfaction from all stakeholders.
